by a show of comments how many people saw the clips of Oprah interviewing Ms. Nash, the woman who was mauled by a chimpazee?
aol posted an article about the event including the clip where the woman takes off her mask for Oprah. he comments that much criticism and SNL skits are bound to ensue.is he right?

first thing's first, Oprah didn't go over the top. these things happen people and we need to accept that. hiding the truth from everyone by being politicaly correct and wearing a mask isn't going to do any good. true it''s hard to look at and it isn't normal, but it's reality.
second, who the hell keeps a chimpazee as a pet?! i mean really, is that the smartest idea, to own a freakin chimpanzee? it's like locking up a human being and expecting it to be all cute and cuddly. can someone please smack some much needed sense into the owner of the animal?

ok, the main reason i'm writing about this is because i have lost faith in our race. if we have to be worried about people making fun of others who have gone through difficult circumstances (like the attack) then what kind of monsters have we become? yes Nash's face is horridly and most likely eternally disfigured, but she is a human woman, not an object of our amusement. i mean really you guys, would you want that if something like this happened to you? would yu want the people you thought liked you to turn around and bitch about what you look like. we should be showing sympathy not cracking jokes. did we crack jokes about the people who lost their homes or were injured in Katrina or the Stunami? did we crack jokes about those deformed by genocide? no we haven't so what makes this any damn different?
if SNL or the Late show or costume makers have the Balls to crack a joke or make masks of her face then we as a species are beyond saving. if we have the balls to look at a woman who needs help and lagh, and jeer, and recoil in disgust, then maybe the mayans were right.
maybe we should all be wiped off teh earth in 2012. id rather that then have to be stuck here with the heartless monsters we have become.
